Planning an adult laser tag outing: what to know

Is it weird to play laser tag as an adult?

Only for the first ninety seconds. Laser tag is a running, hiding, heart-rate sport in a dark room — the same reasons it works for ten-year-olds work for thirty-year-olds, plus the scoreboard settles office arguments. Adult nights exist precisely because enough grown-ups kept showing up.

What's an adult night, exactly?

An age-gated session — usually 18+ or 21+ — typically on a weekend evening after the birthday-party rush clears out. Rounds run faster and more competitive, some venues turn the music up and the house rules down, and venues with a bar on site make it a full night out. Date night: does it work?

Very well, with one warning — laser tag is a cardio workout in disguise, so dress like it (closed-toe shoes, not the nice shirt).
